Several modes of e-commerce logistics

With the fierce competition in the e-commerce industry, logistics - the bottleneck link in e-commerce - has become a new core competitiveness that e-commerce giants are determined to build. Some even once shouted, 'Those who have logistics have the world.'. The light company, light asset model, and light company are the earliest representative enterprises in China, represented by PPG. It refers to e-commerce companies doing what they are best at, such as platforms and data, while outsourcing other businesses such as production and logistics to third-party professional enterprises, ultimately making the company smaller and expanding the customer base. The light company and light asset model in e-commerce logistics refers to the emphasis of e-commerce enterprises on managing business data and logistics information, leasing logistics center land, and outsourcing all distribution processes. This is the traditional operation mode of traditional e-commerce enterprises,

1. First party logistics

This logistics model refers to logistics distribution tasks completed by manufacturers or goods suppliers. Its advantage is that the profits of producers flow within the enterprise, without relying on other logistics suppliers, thus ensuring the overall interests of the company.

2. Second party logistics

It transfers the sales logistics of production enterprises to users, becoming a form of user organized supply logistics. After the goods are sold, the seller is not obligated to transport them.

3. Third party logistics

Refers to the business model in which third-party professional logistics enterprises or distribution companies provide logistics and distribution services, excluding the supply and demand parties of materials.

4. Fourth party logistics

By definition, a fourth party logistics provider is an integrator of the supply chain. It integrates and manages the different resources, capabilities, and technologies owned by the company's internal and complementary service providers, provides a complete supply chain solution, and integrates the capabilities of management consulting and third-party logistics service providers.

Fourth party logistics has begun to assume operational responsibilities for multiple supply chain functions and processes, including manufacturing, procurement, inventory management, supply chain information technology, demand forecasting, network management, customer service management, and administrative management.
